Hull’s edtech provider supporting with school catch-up

Good2Learn, a local provider of online Maths and English resources to primary and secondary education, has been working with a local school to support targeted intervention to raise performance levels. Hedon Primary School in the East Riding of Yorkshire is a one-form entry school on the edge of Kingston upon Hull.

Following the return to school after COVID-19 closures, plans were made to support the children as they re- established their routines and reclaimed their academic resilience.

Angela Baker, Deputy Headteacher at Hedon Primary School explained that whilst teaching online during the lockdown, it was apparent that many children could work independently and manage their learning, others could not and required additional support.

The school adopted the Good2Learn solution because it can be used seamlessly in school and at home. In addition, the lessons have been written by qualified teachers and of the highest quality. Teachers and their assistants can access the platform to direct children to specific work units, monitor usage, and see real-time data and reports supporting with vital time saving needed by teachers in the current climate.

As well as an impressive level of pupil engagement and enthusiasm, in 30 days, the school saw a 10.8% overall improvement in performance with an average overall and steadily increasing score of 65.1% for the school.
