In the middle of the first lockdown, when Karl Douglas and Kelly Cheesman (aka The Sassy Explorer) decided to merge their travel businesses under the Beverley Travel brand and back the high street, many raised their eyebrows.
Travel Agents have been no exception to the growth of the web. Online Travel Agents have grown significantly during this time, however, the no frills, self-service approach hasn’t fared too well when things have gone wrong with more and more travellers wanting to know who they are booking with and deal with a real person, particularly for specialist and complicated trips.
At Beverley Travel, based on the popular Flemingate Centre development in the historic Market Town of Beverley, we are delivering good old-fashioned service with a smile, backed up by decades of travel industry experience. We are not anti-technology, we just use it to help, not to replace the human interaction. We also maintain a strong social media presence and are familiar faces on the business networking front.
With a team with well over 100 years’ travel industry experience and a 3,000 square foot store that is being developed in to a VIP Lounge experience, we are determined to make every client feel special with their complementary VIP Concierge package with every booking. This is all backed up by ABTA membership, ATOL Protection and all client funds being held in a Trust Account until their holiday is paid for, making for a secure and pleasurable experience.
