The Countdown to The Edge begins

Opening in the Summer of 2023, The Edge Hub sets out to be the area’s next big thing in digital upskilling and business collaboration. The Edge has been created as an inclusive and diverse technology hub revolutionising availability and access to regional training and how technology is understood and implemented.

The Edge will offer a new way of approaching up-skilling by providing advanced courses unavailable in the current climate. Demand for digital skills in business remains high and increasing, and The Edge Hub has been created to bridge that gap by supporting technology career development.

The technology centre will be dedicated to innovation, technology, and skills, working with individuals, employers, and businesses to provide tailored training and upskilling in this unique hybrid environment.

The centre will bring access to over 20,000 courses from Google to Microsoft and other training to help build more vital digital workplaces. Flexible methods using training providers to teach specialised skills will specifically support with improvement in digital knowledge throughout the region. The Edge Hub will also offer alternatives to training courses at varying levels for a reduced price tailored to the individual and specific career paths.

A different way of delivery will create more efficient teaching methods, including reducing time and increasing sustainability. An efficient model will be available, whether an individual is l0oking to improve their digital skills or an employer needs to upskill their workforce.

Alongside training and upskilling, The EDGE Hub will introduce a collaborative space to work with pay by the day, monthly memberships available, and a dedicated app to help businesses maximise their platform and work together. There will be event space on site, including a large auditorium and meeting rooms. Full catering is also provided.
