Become a Friend of St Paul’s and help the club thrive

St Paul’s Boxing Academy has relied on support from local businesses to continue its fantastic work since first opening in the 1940s.

To ensure the club, which is based on North Church Side, Hull city centre, can continue to do this for many years to come, we will shortly be launching a new initiative called the Friends of St Paul’s.

Becoming a Friend of St Paul’s makes supporting the club and helping to improve the lives of young people in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

It also gives local businesses a stake in producing the boxing champions of the future. St Paul’s already has a strong record of training champions, and with your support many more will emerge from the club to help put Hull on the world sporting stage.

David Garness, Chair of Trustees, is urging local companies to get involved.

Different levels of support packages will be available, meaning businesses of all sizes will be able to provide help.

David said: “St Paul’s helps transform the lives of people from all backgrounds. Whether it is helping youngsters build confidence and life skills or producing Olympic gold medallists, it does so much for so many.

“However, as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, it relies on the generosity of individuals and businesses to keep going. So, we’re inviting local companies to support the future of the club.”

The project is being led by new board member, Darren Peacock. In interested, you can contact Darren on Darren.peacock@westwoodcf.co.uk or 07739 615859.
