Tuesday 6th June saw the launch of The Edge Hub, a new city centre venue for upskilling, co-working, events, networking, innovation and business support. Mike Ross, Leader of Hull City Council, conducted the formal opening and ribbon cutting alongside representatives from Hull City Council, principal partner Makers, and a host of businesses from across the region and beyond.
The day included talks from The Edge Hub founders including Antonio Tombanane and Mark Evans-Smith, Sky, Makers, Hull City Council, and Helen Dawson Consulting, all hosted in the state-of-the-art auditorium. Speakers provided insight into how The Edge Hub will contribute to bringing together and facilitating conversations on innovation in technology and education in the region. The evening also included the launch of Tech Week Humber 2023, which will take place during the week commencing 13th November.
Antonio Tombanane, founder of The Edge Hub, said – “We couldn’t be more delighted to have welcomed such fantastic company through our doors for the first time. We have created a space where people can come together to learn, innovate, collaborate, and find access routes to business support for their projects. The Edge is the culmination of a joint vision through Hull City Council, the founders of The Edge and our team.”
